Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our car rental services. By renting a vehicle from Sam Car Rental Ltd, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Antisocial Behavior
CARS ARE CONSTANTLY MONITORED VIA TRACKING DEVICE. ANY MISUSE OF THE CAR, WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE THE CONTRACT AT ANYTIME.
You are advised to always drive cautiously and within the legal speed limits. Persistently driving carelessly, or driving in excess of the speed limit, is not permitted and will constitute a breach of this agreement.
Police Action
The police are increasingly using their powers confirmed in Section 59 of the Police and Reform Act 2002. These powers allow an officer to seize and remove a vehicle which he or she believes is being driven inconsiderately or carelessly and is likely to cause alarm, distress, or annoyance to members of the public.
The police can make reasonable requests for information about the driver of the vehicle. Upon receiving a formal request from any constabulary, we are legally obliged to provide the data they require.
This data can include but is not restricted to:
- • Copy of your agreements
- • Copy of your insurance certificate/schedule
- • Copy of your application
- • Copy of your driving license
- • Details of the vehicle including VIN number (which allows us or authorities to apply to the manufacturer to obtain tracking information, including geolocation, speed travelled, past and present locations)
- • Details of how and when you pay for the vehicle
Speeding Classification
Low Severity = 20% over the speed limit
Whilst some speeding forms part of today's society, you are encouraged to be mindful. Persistent speeding in the low severity classification may be considered a breach of terms and SAM CAR RENTAL reserves the right to cancel the agreement and charge all fees associated with ending the contract early.
Medium Severity = 30% over the speed limit
You are encouraged to be mindful and understand the potential harm it may cause to you, others, and the vehicle. Persistent speeding in the medium severity classification may be considered a breach of terms and SAM CAR RENTAL reserves the right to cancel the agreement and charge all fees associated with ending the contract early.
Should we have to generate a speeding report that identifies persistent offences in this category, you will be charged £150 + VAT along with the SAM CAR RENTAL £35 + VAT administration fee, which will be deducted from your deposit. We will consider this a breach of terms and will organise collection of the vehicle early.
High Severity = 50% over the speed limit
Speeding in excess of 50% of the speed limit is deemed as careless or dangerous driving by the authorities and can result in a custodial sentence. There is a greater risk of harm to you, others, and the vehicle.
Persistent speeding in this high severity classification will be considered a breach of terms. SAM CAR RENTAL reserves the right to:
- • Cancel the agreement without notice
- • Charge all fees associated with early termination
- • Generate a speeding report with an associated charge of £150 + VAT
- • Apply an additional £35 + VAT SAM CAR RENTAL administration fee
This will be deducted from your deposit. Such cases will also be treated as a breach of terms, leading to vehicle repossession or early collection without notice.
Driving Audits and Agreement Compliance
By signing this agreement, you acknowledge that:
- • SAM CAR RENTAL has access to information including geolocation, speed travelled, and trip data
- • We may randomly audit how a vehicle is being driven
Any offence or breach may result in:
- • Immediate termination of your contract
- • Withdrawal of permission to drive
- • Notification to the Motor Insurance Database (MID)
- • Recovery procedures initiated without further notice
Insurance Declaration Confirmation
Any aged between 19 and 70
Data Usage and Credit References
- • Information you provide will be recorded and used in accordance with applicable data protection and credit reference regulations
- • Data may be used for statistical analysis relating to credit, insurance, and fraud
- • If this is a joint application, you are permitting us to search and link your financial records with the co-applicant
- • These links remain until a formal "notice of disassociation" is registered with credit reference agencies
- • We may also discuss your application/agreement with the vehicle manufacturer
Your Rights to Information (GDPR Article 15)
You have the right to make a Subject Access Request to view the personal data we hold.

Who We Share Your Data With
We may share your information with:
- • Vehicle manufacturer or importer
- • Franchised dealers
- • Insurance companies
- • Appointed administrators of your agreement
- • Credit insurers (for administration, fraud prevention, and claims handling)
- • The police, Transport for London, local authorities, and private agencies (regarding tolls, fines, etc.)
- • Debt recovery agencies
Marketing
- • We may use your information to inform you about products or services relevant to your agreement
- • You may be contacted by post, telephone, or other means
- • You can opt out at any time by notifying us via any of the contact details above
